What's New in TIVRA 3.0

Last updated August 8, 2026

TIVRA 3.0 breaks the app out of "just IPTV." The headlines: a Local Media Library that puts your own movies and TV shows — from a Jellyfin or Emby server, or straight off your NAS — alongside your live channels, and Multi-View, which splits your TV into up to 8 live channels at once. Plus a web dashboard that finally behaves on your phone, a proper symbols layer on the TV keyboard, and on-screen shortcut hints. Details below.

🎞 Local Media Library: Jellyfin & Emby

If you run a Jellyfin or Emby server, TIVRA now connects to it as a first-class source. Add it under Settings → Providers → Add Provider — just the server URL and your username/password — and your movie and show libraries appear in the app's new Library section, right next to your IPTV content.

🗄 No Media Server? Point TIVRA at Your NAS

You don't need to run a media server at all. Add an SMB share as a library source — server, share name, and optionally a folder (movies and TV shows can point at separate folders) — and TIVRA reads your files straight off the network.

The good part: automatic metadata matching. Based on your file and folder names, TIVRA pulls in posters, artwork, descriptions, and cast for both movies and shows. Name files like Movie Title (2021).mkv and shows like Show Name (2004)/Season 1/... and the Library looks like a streaming service, not a file browser.

🖥 Browse Your Library from the Dashboard

The web dashboard gains a Library panel: browse your movies and shows in the browser, click Play on TV to start something on your television, and hit Sync Library to rescan your sources after adding new files. Library sources can also be added from the dashboard's Providers panel — changes sync to the TV automatically.

🔲 Multi-View: Up to 8 Channels at Once

Long-press OK on any channel in Live TV and choose Multi-View. Your TV splits into a grid of 2, 4, 6, or 8 live channels playing simultaneously.

📱 The Dashboard Works Properly on Phones Now

The web dashboard has been reworked for small screens. Managing providers, browsing your library, and sending things to the TV now work properly from a phone or tablet browser — no more pinch-zooming a desktop layout.
